Olympians Tintu Luka and V Diju were presented with the 2012 G V Raja Award, the highest sporting honour of the State instituted by the Kerala State Sports Council, here on Tuesday.

Tom Joseph, who has been consistently sidelined for the Arjuna award, however, did not turn up to receive the special award.

Giving away the awards, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said that the government would give importance to developing infrastructure for sports. The government has geared up for the National Games and it was for the Olympic Association to just fix the dates, he said.
