BANGALORE: Sri Vinayaka Geleyara Balaga is director Nagendra Prasad’s latest project and is a movie that is based on the pompous Ganesha festival in India. The movie is reportedly a very ambitious project and aims to capture the spirit of the festival, which is especially popular in Bangalore city.

The director Nagendra Prasad slips in a little secret and says that a true incident in 1985 has inspired him to direct Sri Vinayaka Geleyara Balaga.

The first shooting schedule is proposed for 23 days has been done. The first schedule was finished in Doddaballapura, a nearby township. Sri Vinayaka Geleyara Balaga has Naveen Krishna, Meghana, Vijaya Raghavendra and Prathap as the leading star cast.

This would be the debut movie of Nagendra. He is more popular as a lyricist, dialogue and story writer. He feels that the movie would score a hit with the youth, thanks to its novel storyline. The music composer for this movie is V Harikrishna. This film would be produced by G T Pampapathi under the banner of G T Productions.

The movie is scheduled to be released on the September 10 this year. According to the director, the plot of the movie revolves around Ganesh Chathurthi. It deals with the event of ‘chanda’ collection before the occasion in order to set up Lord Ganesh’s idol in each corner of a city. He wants to cast a gorgeous Kannada girl as the heroine of the film.
