IT'S a double-debut here. Veteran stunt choreographer Jaguar Thangam turns director, while son Vijaya Chiranjeevi dons grease paint for Surya , their home production. Not surprisingly, the focus is on the fight and action scenes, which work to the hero’s advantage. For, Vijaya is well trained in various martial art forms, and there is enough scope for him to showcase his prowess here.

Vijaya, with his unassuming boy-next-door looks plays Surya, who comes to the city aspiring to be a villain in films. There are the two women in his life. One (Chawla) who constantly and wrongly accuses him of playing peeping Tom, and the other (Nepa) who makes no bones about her attraction for him. There is enough scope here for some overt glamour, and the director exploits it to the maximum.

Surya’s problems begin when a CD with some incriminating evidence against Jack, a thug (Jackros) falls in his hands.  With the goon out to get him, the young man has to use his wits, or rather his brawn, to survive.

In this very predictable and uninspiring scenario, the film manages to have a couple of good moments. Like the scene where Surya, enticed by an offer to act, finds himself in a real fight with Jack and his goons. The song following it, depicting his steady recovery and preparation for the final confrontation, has some interesting montage shots.

The director who has so meticulously arranged the fight scenes for his son, could have worked out the rest of the script too with equal care and sensibility.
