Nagarjuna quits Tamil film

The Tollywood superstar will not star in Tamil actor Ajith’s new film ‘Mankatha’; Arjun Sarja replaces him.

HYDERABAD: According to medial reports, Nagarjuna is no longer a part of the upcoming Tamil action flick ‘Mankatha’ to be directed by Venkat Prabhu. Stepping into is shoes is Arjun, also referred to as the Action King of Kollywood.

‘Mankatha’ is essentially an action film with bits of comedy in between, reports director Venkat Prabhu. Though Ajith Kumar plays the lead role, the character of Nagarjuna in ‘Mankatha’ was also important to the progress in the storyline of the upcoming film. But now it looks like Nagarjuna will no longer have to shoot for ‘Mankatha’; his replacement in Arjun having been announced.

The crew of the upcoming Tamil flick did not come up with any official explanation as to why Nagarjuna chose to move out of the project all of a sudden, but Arjun’s entry into the ‘Mankatha’ team has been confirmed.

Playing Arjun’s love interest in ‘Mankatha’ is actress Sneha. The film also stars Trisha Krishnan and Lakshmi Rai.
