GUNTUR: The State government has issued another notification to acquire 57.23 acres of land at Ananthavaram village in Thullur mandal of capital region Amaravati.

Issuing the notification on Monday, District Collector Kantilal Dande asked the affected farmers of Ananthavaram to submit their objections, if any, pertaining to the land acquisition within 60 days.

According to the social impact survey conducted in Ananthavaram, 119 farmers will be affected due to the acquisition of land for capital Amaravati.

As per the notification, the land owners cannot sell their holdings to others. A public hearing on land acquisition will be held at the office of  special deputy collector at Ananthavaram on May 15, the District Collector said.
