BHUBANESWAR: Eminent writers Ramachandra Behera and Bhupen Mohapatra were presented the ‘Teerataranga’ Award for the years 2009 and 2008 respectively at a function here.

The Oriya literary and feature magazine ‘Teerataranga’ continued its efforts to honour the veterans and promote new talent in the field of literature.

At its 14th anniversary celebratation, Gourahari Das, Kulamani Nath Sharma, Gyana Hota, Suvas Satpathy, Pravat Ranjan Mallick and Sridhar Das were given away Teerataranga Samman for 2008 while Anil Das, Gajanana Mishra, Pradeep Ray, Satyaranjan Panigraphi, Anjan Chand and Shaktiranjan Dash got it for 2009.

State Election Commissioner Sanjeev Hota, eminent writer Santanu Acharya as well as Debaprasad Dash were guests at the function. Magazine editor Bandana Mishra presented a report on the activities of the forum.
