KOCHI:  Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Techniques (NAET), a treatment introduced by Devi S Nambudripad, claims to cure any form of ailment without the need for any medication or causing any pain to the patient. NAET is a painless drug-free natural solution that can reduce or eliminate various forms of allergy-induced health disorders.

The NAET is a treatment which uses acupuncture and acupressure to treat patients. The first part of the treatment is to identify the substance which causes the allergy using muscle responsive techniques. Then the person is treated using acupuncture or acupressure. The treatment claims complete cure from the allergen after the required time period.

“Allergy, in our treatment refers to any sort of disturbance caused by a substance in the energy balance of a person when he or she comes into contact with it. These substances (allergens) can be any kind of food, fabric material, pollen or chemical. Our treatment focuses on making the person immune to these forms of allergens,” said Devi Nambudripad, who discovered the treatment. The treatment was first brought to India by Sister Naina of the order of the Sisters of Notre Dame Bangalore who learned this form of treatment under the tutelage of Devi. Sister Naina’s clinic has been in operation in Bangalore from 2003 onwards. “We  have had a lot of people coming to us with a different diseases after trying out other forms of treatments and we have been able to cure them completely.  Patients suffering from autism without any brain damage have been cured through NAET at our clinic in Bangalore,” said Sister Naina. NAET procedures have already been taught to more than 12,000 licensed healthcare professionals who are practising all over the world. A NAET clinic started functioning in  Palarivattom from January onwards and has seen a lot of activity since then.
