TIRUVARUR: District Crime Branch police here on Thursday arrested DMK district secretary ‘Poondi’ K Kalaivanan in a land grab case soon after he was released from Palayamkottai Central Prison in Tirunelveli.
Police said the arrest was made following a complaint lodged by Mohammed Rabik, , of Athikadai village that 12 acres of farm land was grabbed by Poondi Kalaivanan and his aides. He was remanded till Dec 8.
