CHENNAI: Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa today launched an e-ticket booking facility for travelling by the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation buses.

Passengers can book tickets 30 days in advance through mobile phones and the website www.tnstc.in by using credit or debit cards to any destination of their choice, an official release said.

The facility also allows a passenger to choose the desired seat.

With the launch of this facility, the present 50 advance booking centres of TNSTC working in neighbouring states, would be ramped upto 300 centres enabling the public to directly walk-in to book e-tickets.

As soon as a ticket has been booked an SMS would also be sent to the passenger's mobile phone.

Jayalalithaa after launching the facility presented four e-tickets to passengers on the occasion, the statement added.
