Express News Service

The Kramski Stamping and Molding India, in association with the VIT Technology Business Incubator (VITTBI), is planning to promote electronic industries by establishing an electronic cluster in Vellore district. The Electronic Council of India (ELCINA) is one of the nodal agencies behind this initiative.

S Nagarajan, general manager (operations) attached to Kramski said the Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, has introduced the Modified Special Incentive Package Scheme (MSIPS) to promote electronic manufacturing and service industries. Only those units which are approved by ELCINA are eligible to avail the benefits of the MSIPS.

MSIPS provides 25 per cent subsidy for investments in capital expenditure for the next 10 years in addition to reimbursement of excise for capital equipment. Nagarajan said  a joint meeting with the electronic related enterprises was being organized on June 14 at 10 am  at Eraiyankadu village near Pallikonda to give details about the MSIPS. During the meeting, the ELCINA officials would  clarify queries and  also create awareness about the measures taken by the government of India to promote electronic industries.
