CM, Ministers Pull Car of Amman Temple

PUDUCHERRY: The annual car festival of Veerampattinam Sengazhuneer Amman Temple was held here on Friday.

Hundreds of devotees from all over the region and neighboring districts of Tamil Nadu thronged the Amman temple to worship on the occasion.

Chief Minister N Rangasamy pulled the chariot and inaugurated the car festival.

It was customary that Lieutenant Governor of Union Territory inaugurating the annual festival. However, as Lieutenant Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands A K Singh, who  holds the additional charge for Puducherry, was away, the Chief Minister inaugurated the festival.

Speaker Sabapathy, ministers P Rajavelu, T Thiagarajan also participated  in the car festival of the temple and worshipped the Amman deity.
