Malayalam actor Jayasurya booked again for sexual harassment amid Mollywood's 'MeToo' wave

Kerala police have booked actor Jayasurya in another case of sexual harassment filed by a junior artist.

The case was registered by Karamana police on the complaint of the junior artist, who alleged that she was subjected to sexual harassment by the actor years ago at a movie location in Thodupuzha.

As per the FIR, Jayasurya sexually assaulted the complainant when she was leaving the toilet at the film set, in the year 2013.

The actor was earlier booked by the Cantonment police for alleged sexual harassment of a Kochi-based actress, who worked in the Tamil and Malayalam film industry.

Jayasurya won two Kerala State Film Awards for Best Actor for Captain and Njan Marykutty in 2018, and for Vellam in 2021.
