Jaiswal became only the third Indian after Vinod Kambli and Virat Kohli to hit double hundreds in two consecutive Tests.

Aged 22 years & 52 days, Yashasvi Jaiswal is the third youngest to score a double hundred behind Vinod Kambli (IND) 21 years 54 days and Don Bradman (AUS) - 21 years 318 days.

Jaiswal clobbered 12 sixes, the most by an Indian in a Test innings and equal with Wasim Akram's record against Zimbabwe at Sheikhupura in 1996.

Jaiswal put on 172 runs in almost no time for the unbeaten fifth wicket with Sarfaraz Khan, who notched up his second fifty of the game to reach 68 not out from only 72 balls with six fours and three sixes when skipper Rohit Sharma made the declaration call.

Yashasvi Jaiswal's unbeaten double century and five wickets by Ravindra Jadeja helped India crush England by 434 runs in the third Test to lead the series 2-1 on Sunday.
