Veteran Industrialist Ratan Tata passes away

Ratan Tata, the former Tata Group chairman who transformed the group into India's largest and most influential conglomerate, breathed his last at south Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital at 11.30 pm on October 9, Wednesday.

He was wheeled into Breach Candy Hospital in the early hours on 7th October after his blood pressure dropped.

Tata led the group from March 1991, taking up the mantle from his predecessor JRD Tata, through December 2012.
