BMW recently announced a group training centre in Gurgaon. Part of its long-term strategy in India, the German auto giant is slowly making India its important hub for the Asia-Pacific market.

BMW recently announced a group training centre in Gurgaon. Part of its long-term strategy in India, the German auto giant is slowly making India its important hub for the Asia-Pacific market.

The centre, spread across 2.2 acres, has eight units and will provide the technical expertise required for associates dealing with parts, service, sales and business systems in India. The Rs 160-million training centre is part of the activities that the company has in India including the parts warehouse in Mumbai, manufacturing plant in Chennai and also development of dealer organisation in major metros.

Maximum capacity of this training centre is 18,000 training man-days per year
