Toyota Kirloskar Motors has launched the new and slightly updated version of the extremely successful Toyota Innova MPV. The new Innova marks the 10th year of the original introduction of the Innova back in 2005. Ammar Alvi checks it out.

The Innova will feature an updated front grille, new alloy wheels along with added side and rear garnishes. The new Innova will also feature leather seats along with an upmarket wooden finish steering wheel.

The Innova will come with newly designed seats, where both the third and second row can now be folded, a third row roof vent, touch-screen display and promises 13.31 km to a litre of diesel. The Japanese manufacturer also became the first manufacturer in the mass segment to have standardised front SRS airbags across all models and variants. The new Innova also comes with an updated infotainment system with a touchscreen setup and Bluetooth connectivity. The new Innova will also come standard with ABS and airbags in every single variant to improve on safety of the passengers. It will be continued to be powered by a 2.5-litre diesel engine that yields over 100 bhp at 200 Nm making it quite a sturdy and reliable MUV. Speaking on the occasion of the launch, N Raja, Director & Senior Vice President Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. The new Toyota Innova will be available at a price range between Rs.10.51 lakh and Rs.15.80 lakh, ex-showroom (Delhi).
