Ford Endeavour Launched in India at Rs 24.75 Lakhs

The all new Ford Endeavour has been finally launched by the American automaker at INR 24.75 lac (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The top end variant will cost INR 29.46 lac which comes with 4X4 automatic mechanism. Earlier, Endeavour has gone through a course of facelifts, but now the vehicle appears with a refreshed version that is based on a new platform. The all new Ford Endeavour has been engineered for extraordinary. The SUV is an ideal combination of power and efficiency. Its aerodynamic design is meant to be less dragging and more fuel savings. Impressive mileage of about 14.2 km/l with the diesel motor (as per ARAI) and a seating capacity for 7 makes it a phenomenal vehicle to take for multiple rides. The 2016 Ford Endeavour will compete with Chevrolet Trailblazer and Toyota Fortuner in the segment. Let us explore the details of the vehicle:

Performance: New Endeavour carries a 2.2L and a 3.2L TDCi Turbo diesel engine. These super powerful mills are now better and deliver an impressive fuel economy with some extra kilometres. The 2.2L unit delivers 160 PS at 385 Nm and the 3.2L unit belts out 200 PS with 470 Nm of torque. This, in turn, gives a mighty pickup for hill climbing to the vehicle. The 6-speed transmission and Torque-On-Demand provide maximum traction on and off-road. The transmission duties are handled by 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic, depending on the variant.

Capability: A purpose-built capability is rendered in the new Ford Endeavour. The Terrain Management System optimises traction and control for maximum grip and comfort in sand/mud/snow/rock. On the other hand, the Hill Descent Control takes you downhill at a safe & steady pace and the Hill Launch Assist removes the fear of rolling back. Not only these, the vehicle combines up to 225mm of superior ground clearance with 800mmm of Best-in-class water wading.

Quality: Quality is all about comfort. The same has been cleverly added inside of this tough vehicle. All the 7 seats are leather upholstered and plenty of room inside can take the entire team easily. The third bench is electric power fold and gives a stable surface. Apart from this, the electric panoramic sunroof creates a direct contact between you and the nature.  

Smart: Technology designed with the new Ford Endeavour is to make the SUV intuitive to your needs. The SYNC enables you to make your phone calls, select your music and use the climate control hands-free. Also, you can listen to your texts. The Multi-intelligent instrument cluster on your dashboard and the Active Noise Cancellation are the extended examples of Smart technology. On the other hand, there is the Semi Auto Parallel Park Assist and the Rear View Camera which not only help this big SUV to be parked perfectly and effortlessly, but also alert about obstacles.

There are front seat driver and passenger airbags, seat-mounted side airbags, side curtain airbags and an airbag for the driver’s knee as well. At the time of overtaking and around corners, the Electronic Stability Control ensures a perfect grip and control. Moreover, EPAS with Pull-Drift Compensation also helps in slight directional shifts.

The vehicle is available in six exciting colors namely Sunset Red, Diamond White, Golden Bronze, Moondust Silver, Panther Black and the Smoke Grey.
