Hotels outlook positive

With hopes of Indian economy reviving in the latter half of the calendar year, the hotel industry is optimistic about business picking up in the forthcoming holiday season which gets underway in October. A survey reveals that India is looking at a very positive business outlook in the latter part of the year and the hotel and travel industry expect to reap good dividends.

About 66% respondents support the claim that the economy will improve in the second half of 2012. Tourist inflow, both domestic and outbound, will be on the higher side than what was seen during the first two quarters of the industry.

The survey conducted by TripAdvisor has revealed that India-based hotels are looking for better profits in the coming times and are adapting to newer avenues of marketing.

India ranks fifth in the world for hotels with the best business outlook, while Greece ranks last, according to respondents’ answers.
