Jet to fly twice a day from Mumbai to Singapore

Jet Airways said will fly twice a day on the Mumbai-Singapore sector beginning today, making it the only domestic carrier to operate six daily flights between the two countries.

This new service will complement the night flight currently in operation, on the popular Mumbai-Singapore route.

Jet is the only carrier operating two daily flights connecting Singapore with Delhi, Chennai and Mumbai, the airline said in a statement.

Flight 9W 010 will depart Mumbai at 0950 hrs and arrive Singapore at 1800 hrs (local time). On return, flight 9W 009 will depart Singapore at 2005 hrs (local time) and arrive in Mumbai at 2310 hrs (local time).

Chief executive Gary Toomey said the second flight is to meet increasing demand due to tourist and business traffic.
