Indian markets closed on Friday

Indian stock, debt and currency markets are closed on Friday for a local holiday. Trading will resume on Monday.

The benchmark BSE index rose 1.02 percent, or 205.02 points, to end at 20,399.42 on Thursday. The broader NSE index rose 1.11 percent, or 66.55 points, to end at 6,056.15, and fell 1.4 percent for the week.

The partially convertible rupee closed at 63.11/12 per dollar versus its previous close of 63.30/31 per dollar.

The benchmark 10-year bond yield rose 10 basis points to 9.02 percent.
