Royal Enfield Continental GT launched at Rs 2.05 lakh

Chennai-based Royal Enfield launched the Continental GT at Rs 2.05 lakh ex-showroom New Delhi.

"Our ambition is to make sure that our motorcycles are accessible so we took pains to keep the prices down," chief executive Siddhartha Lal told reporters.

The motorcycle houses a 535cc motor which produces a maximum of 29 BHP and a peak torque of 44 Nm.

Inspired by the Café Racer model, the Continental GT will be appreciated more for its stable mannerisms and handling prowess than its raw power. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox and has a top whack of 140 KMPH.  Expected fuel efficiency is 25 KMPL.

The motorcycle will be built in RE’s Oragadam facility in Chennai.
