A 35-member delegation from the Philippines has held discussions with Rubber Board on developing high-yielding clones of rubber trees for increasing natural rubber plantation.
The team held discussion with Board chairman Sheela Thomas, representatives of Rubber Research Institute of India and the industry represented by All India Rubber Industries Association (AIRIA).
Niraj Thakkar, president of AIRIA, said that the members have also visited the headquarters of Indian Rubber Manufacturers Research Association where the delegation was briefed on various testing facilities available at IRMRA.
