NEW DELHI: Tata's full service passenger carrier Vistara Friday said it will commence services between New Delhi and Pune from April 9, 2015.

According to the airline, it will operate daily flight services between Delhi and Pune, the bookings for which have been opened.

"We received a very enthusiastic response from customers when we recently launched flights to Goa and Hyderabad, clearly indicating such cities are fast emerging as attractive destinations for leisure and corporate travelers," Vistara chief executive Phee Teik Yeoh said in a statement.

"Pune has some of the well-developed conglomerates present and is one of the major modern cities in India. For Vistara, these places showcase immense potential as their robust infrastructure and good quality of life ultimately attracts more travel."

The airline had earlier announced the launch of new services to Goa and Hyderabad from Feb 20 and March 1, respectively.  The airline has said it will commence services on Delhi-Guwahati-Bagdogra-Delhi route from April 2.

The company, which initially started operations with 68 flights weekly in January, is expected to operate 164 flights a week by month-end.  The airline will expand its fleet size to six aircraft by April and will soon announce the addition of more destinations.

The airline currently has five Airbus A-320 aircraft. The joint venture (JV) airline between Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines started commercial operations from Jan 9.
