About five years ago, shopping in India was all about flea markets, big brand showrooms, shopping malls and crowded city markets. With the advent of technology and changing mind set of the new generation, the face of shopping has completely changed and become better and more interactive than ever before.

Online shopping in the “Next Gen Shopping Technique” and the number of online shoppers is growing by 50% every year. The approximate number of online shoppers in 2013 was close to 22 million and is expected to increase to 45 million by end of this year. The growth rate of e-commerce market is estimated at a 63% compounded annual growth by the end of 2016.

Top e-commerce companies like Snapdeal, Amazon, Flipkart and Jabong are ruling the online shopping world and most of the products that are sold in markets and shopping malls are not being sold online, that too at better and more affordable rates. Online shopping is estimated to be one of the most popular trends in 2016 and here are few online players that will be ruling the online shopping space:


Jabong, Snapdeal, Amazon and Flipkart are the big names that come to mind when you talk about online shopping of clothing, accessories, footwear, jewellery, bags and other accessories. The wide product catalogue and the fabulous prices and discount offers that these websites offer are simply unbeatable.
