Ceat Ltd second quarter net profit down 31 per cent at Rs 73 crore

NEW DELHI: Tyre manufacturer Ceat Ltd today reported 31.43 per cent decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 72.99 crore for the second quarter ended September 30.

The company had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 106.45 crore in the same quarter previous fiscal, Ceat Ltd said in a BSE filing.

Total income during the quarter under review was at Rs 1,529.48 crore. It was Rs 1,600.30 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal, it added.

The company and a subsidiary had introduced a voluntary retirement scheme for its employees and the compensation for employees who opted for its aggregated Rs 7.98 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2017, it said.
