BANGALORE: Do women hold the key as far as voting a country’s leader goes? If that were the case, here is some bad news for LK Advani, who could very well go on to be the country’s next Prime Minister.

He has been given a thumbs down by net-going women.

When ViziSense-- an online audience measurement company, analysed the BJP leaders website Lkadvani.in the results were that it targets males 15 per cent better than the India average, while it is way below the India average in targeting females - about 58 per cent less.

The Advani website has failed to attract as many women as the Congress website did. Congress, on the other hand, does a fair job in targeting the male and female genders - they are in the same proportion as the Internet population ratio of 80:20.

Other findings Other results show that Karnataka surfs Congress 45 per cent more than the Advani’s website.

While Advani is being looked up more in Chennai than in Bangalore, Congress has an edge in cities like Delhi, Bombay and Bangalore. Chennai is spending a large amount of time on Advani’s page – there is a 220 per cent difference compared to Congress, the data shows.

The young, the old Advani however, seems to be way too popular among the people aged over 60. His site has attracted audiences aged above 60 years a whopping 322 per cent better than the India average (estimated internet population composition).

Compared to how Congress fares, there is a huge difference of 1,500 per cent.

The internet data also shows that the Congress is not really trying to reach out to the youth as it attracts 24 per cent less than the India average of audience that are aged between 15 and 24.

However, Advani seems to be doing 10 per cent better among the youth than the Congress.
