Train reservation chart goes digital

Bangalore division of railways is to convert the facilities of paper-based chart information into digital chart.

BANGALORE: General Manager of South Western Railways, Kuldeep Chaturvedi inaugurated the digital train reservation chart display on Friday at the main concourse hall of the Bangalore city railway station.

The first-of-its-kind initiative has been taken up by Bangalore division of South Western Railways to convert the existing facilities of paper-based chart information and confirmation of tickets into digital charts on a public private partnership model. Armour Display Systems, a division of Armour Security Solutions, have successfully installed the system.

Divisional Railway Manager Akhil Agarwal, Additional Divisional Railway Manager T R K Rao and other railway officers were present on the occasion.
