BANGALORE: The High Court has issued a status quo order on the construction of the Metro station at Yeshwantpur.

While hearing the petition of Naveen hotels, the single judge bench directed the state government and the BMRCL to submit a detail project report on the Metro station at Yeshwantpur.

The bench pulled up the state government and the BMRCL on the way in which land was acquired. Directing the state to file counter affidavit within two weeks, the single judge  said it was a “mindless project”. “While implementing the project, the government should ensure minimum public hindrance and it should be beneficial to the public at large,” said the judge.
