BANGALORE: Founded in 2009, SpringPeople is a global premier corporate training provider for high-end and emerging technologies. It is one of the handpicked seven global partners of SpringSource, a division of VMware. Delivering world’s no.1 training on Spring Framework and portfolio projects, it serves several verticals worldwide including IT, BFIS, CRM, Hospitality, Travel, Education, Manufacturing etc. Ravi Kaklasaria, Director, SpringPeople speaks to Vyas Sivanand about the company and their diverse training solutions across verticals.

How important is the training provided by you in today’s market? How helpful is it to your clients?

There are many grey market training vendors who train mostly on technologies such as JAVA, .NET etc but for the specific high-end technologies related to a certain project, there are very few trainers. In such cases, we can provide a backbone to the industry by providing training in niche areas, understand client training needs and deploy best trainers to attain 100 per cent training objective and help them in minimising Total Cost of Learning (TCL). We are the only training vendor to offer end-to-end training process coverage and offer Service Level Agreements (SLA) to underpin our quality training promise.

What are the main training programmes offered by SpringPeople?

The main training programmes offered by SpringPeople include SpringSource University Courses, JEE, Web which includes HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, GWT, Flex, Flash, Ajax, Groovy & Grails. We also offer programmes on mobile which includes Android, iPhone & iPad, Blackberry, J2ME. Cloud Computing, Salesforce.com involving developer & admin tracks, Middle Tier involving Weblogic, Websphere, Tomcat, Apache and Languages like Java, Scala, C, C++, PHP, Perl, Python are also essential aspects of our programmes along with testing revolving around QTP, Selenium, Winrunner, and Loadrunner. We also offer programmes on Microsoft Technologies.

What is the strategy used by you towards tapping clients?

We plan and strategise many marketing activities to target our client. Most common activities include meeting the Learning & Development Managers, understand their business requirement and offer than Complete Learning Experience (CLE). We also send customised newsletters based on particular IT skill sets. Blogging is an important aspect of our strategy while print articles related to corporate training market in India, potential of this market in future and other articles related to emerging technologies also make good sense to us. Social Media marketing based on couple of parameters to hit the right segment is also a focus area.

What are the upcoming programmes?

We intend to be a niche player with 100 per cent focus on quality delivery on SpringSource University courses and later leverage this learning and experience to other technologies such as Microsoft Technologies, Cloud Computing, JAVA. We are also keenly trying to make our corporate training offerings available across India and create a network of high-quality, open-house corporate training and learning centers. This will cater to small batch-size corporate training requirements. Our focus is also on reducing TCL and maximise Return on Investment (ROI).
