BANGALORE: Till the end of March, the city traffic police have suspended 2,161 driving licences (DLs) of habitual offenders.

A press release from Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic and Security), Dr M A Saleem stated that the police had confiscated 844 licences between November and December last year.

“To ensure safety of vehicle users, licences of habitual offenders are being seized. They are sent to Regional Transport Offices for suspension. Till March end, 2,161 licences have been suspended,” the release said.

Further, the police added that they would continue the drive against habitual offenders.
