BANGALORE:  Mysore Forest Mobile Squad under a team led by Sub-Inspector M C Rajshekar attached with  Rampura police station, Chamarajnagar district, arrested a miscreant, who was in possession of leopard pelt.

The accused Srinivas alias Venkat Gowda, 24, is a native of Ganiga Mangala village, Kollegal.

Reportedly, the squad officials in the guise of customers approached Srinivas and asked for leopard skin.

When the accused displayed the bag containing the leopard’s pelt, the officials nabbed him. However, his partner Kariappan managed to escape.
