BANGALORE: The incident of Stalin who hanged himself for scoring low marks is just one example and a glimpse into the ground reality. Every year, every day, thousands of students are bogged down by the system, which measures the capabiltity of students only through academic scores.

Dr Niranjan Aradhya, educationist and a fellow with Centre for Child and Law at National Law School of India University, said, “With a system where marks are the ultimate goals, there is a need for a mechanism to help students overcome pressure, depression etc.”
