BANGALORE: Triple riding proved fatal, as a student’s scooter rammed into a road median and he was killed on the spot in Kothnur near Hegdenagar on Thursday. The deceased Arun,17, I PUC student and his friends Rakesh and Vijay, both SSLC students,  had gone for a ride at around 5 pm when the incident took place.  Arun was riding the Honda Activa without a helmet while his friends were riding pillion. Arun was over-speeding and allegedly all of them were in an inebriated state. He lost control over the vehicle and rammed it into the road median.  Arun was killed on the spot, while Rakesh and Vijay were shifted to a hospital.

Man Dies in Road Accident

Siddalingachar, 65, a resident of Attiguppe near RPC Layout was killed in  a road accident at around 9.15 pm near Nanjappa Circle while he tried to overtake a BMTC bus. He was a retired armed police sub inspector with the City Armed Reserve (CAR).

Depressed Conductor Ends Life

Dejected over his wife eloping with his friend, Rajendra Bhushetty, 32, a BMTC conductor, committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Hennur on Friday. He was a native of Dharwad. Police said his suicide note stated that he was taking the extreme step as his wife had eloped with his friend some days ago.
