BANGALORE:  A 34-year-old dismissed City Armed Reserve police constable, committed suicide by hanging at his residence at TC Palya near K R Puram on Friday. The deceased, Vasanth Kumar was staying along with his mother at TC Palya.

According to the police, the incident came to light at around 7 am when his mother, who had gone to her daughter’s house knocked the door repeatedly after returning home. But when there was no response, she broke open the door and found Vasanth’s body hanging from the ceiling and informed the police.

It is suspected that he might have taken the extreme step over a property dispute between his father’s two wives.

The children of his first wife refused to share the 6-acre property in Kolar with their half brothers and sisters. Vasanth who is the son of Thimappa’s second wife was upset over this issue and ended his life.
