BANGALORE: Like every other city, in Bangalore too, the drivers of these three-wheelers have been complaining about what they take home. Several strikes took place to increase the price per kilometer to keep pace with inflation. But, they got only temporary solace.

Autodrivers told City Express that they have to pay `55 as LPG money and about `72 as Petrol money apart from the daily interest that they ought to pay today to the owner of the vehicle.

So, what do they do? Like travel agents, they diversified into giving varied products. The drivers now give away chanda sheets and Amway kits apart from donation receipts. So you pay a minimum of `20, but also pay for reasons which will now be termed as autorickshawed.

The autorickshaw was  brought to India under the banner of the Bachraj Trading Corporation.
