BANGALORE: Nowadays, people have become aware of the need for maintaining and leading a healthy life, with the pace of life in the city becoming more fast as well as stressful. Therefore, the fitness mantra in the city is

catching up fast.

Each of us would like to maintain a healthy body and stay fit and in this regard, celebrities have taken a lead and are becoming role models for youngsters.

For the health clubs, it is all the way to the bank as they are attracting a growing number of clients including various fitness-conscious celebrities.  In one such initiative, Pankaj Advani, world snooker champion and Sharmila Nicollet, golfer inaugurated a health club in the

city recently.

To celebrate their launch, the health club is offering complementary personal training vouchers with  guidance by instructors, including aerobics, pilates, step aerobics, body pump, body conditioning, yoga and zumba, among others.

Uzma Irfan, executive director of Corporate Communications, Prestige Group said: “With Bangalore on the fast-track growth mode, the city is witnessing an increasing need for self-sustained development that offers all requisite services and facilities in the same place.”

He further added: “While there is growing awareness about the need for fitness in our daily routine, challenges including time constraints and distances are making it difficult for most people to find the time to achieve this. The health club of this sort will cater to a large pool of fitness enthusiasts in the city which houses over 3000 people.”
