BANGALORE: The North Division police arrested 219 accused and recovered stolen property worth `3.75 crore in connection with various crimes committed in the last two months. Police Commissioner BG Jyothi Prakash Mirji said that the police have solved 257 cases, which includes robberies, extortion, chain snatching, theft cases and burglary. About 4.254 kg gold ornaments, 5 kg silver ornaments, 128 two-wheelers, 3 three-wheelers, 24 four-wheelers, 8 laptops, 21 mobiles and `19.4 lakh cash were recovered.

Soladevanahalli Police have also arrested five dacoits. The accused have been identified as Seena, Manja, Chinnappaih,  Kumar and Ramesh. Police recovered stolen property worth `24 lakh, and `2,25,000 cash from them.

Hebbal police arrested four men who were involved in dacoity. The accused are Nagaraj (31), Byrareddy (30), Sridhar (30) and Lakhsmidevi (24). The police recovered stolen property worth `14.85 lakh from them.

RMC Yard Layout Police arrested three accused who have been identified as Basavaraj, Hemanth and Muttu. They were involved in four-wheeler thefts.

The police recovered stolen property worth `47 lakh, two lorries and one car from them.  

Rajgopalnagar police arrested eight accused, who were involved in robbery. The accused are identified as Prutvi (30), Pramod, Manjunath, Venkatesh, Shivaraju, Madhu, Shankar, and Perumal. They were allegedly threatening and robbing people. The police recovered  property worth `18 lakh and about 73.55 gram gold ornaments from them.
