BANGALORE: The sleuths of the Homicide and Burglary squad of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) arrested three persons who allegedly committed thefts at temples.

Gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 5 lakh have been recovered from them.

The accused have been identified as Manjunath alias Manja, 28 and Ravikumar alias Ravi, 25, both from Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu and Shankar, 25, of Kanakapura.

The three are allegedly involved in about 13 temple theft cases.

Over five kilogram of silver ornaments and 69 grams of gold jewels that were stolen from various temples have been recovered. Police said that the accused were involved in theft cases reported in Bangalore, Tumkur and Ramanagaram districts.
