BANGALORE: A 40-year-old pedestrian died on the spot after an unidentified vehicle ran over him at Nandini Layout on Friday.

Details of the deceased are yet to be ascertained. Police said at around 10 pm while he was trying to cross the road, an unidentified vehicle ran over his head killing him on the spot. His face is disfigured making it difficult to identify the victim, police said.

A case has been registered at Rajajinagar traffic police station.

Woman Killed in Accident In an another incident, a 42- year-old woman died in an accident after a Maruti Alto rammed into the auto she was travelling in, on Airport Road on Friday.

The deceased Kalavathi, was a resident of Bidarahalli.

The incident took place at around 1.30 pm when she was returning home along with her brother in an autorickshaw.

A car driver, who was allegedly driving rashly rammed into the auto and escaped.

Kalavathi sustained head injuries and died while being shifted to a hospital.

Her brother and the auto driver escaped with minor injuries.

A case has been registered at Airport Traffic police station.

Water Tanker Runs Over 19-yr-old A 19-year-old student was killed on the spot when a water tanker ran over him on Haines Road in Pulakeshinagar on Friday.

The deceased Sumith Sharma, a II year PUC student of CMR College, was a resident of Kalyanagar.

The incident took place around 12 pm when he was going to Frazer Town on his two-wheeler.

A water tanker, which was on his right took a turn hitting the bike. The tanker ran over on his head, killing him on the spot. Frazer Town police registered a case.
