BANGALORE: A 50-year-old man, who suspected his 37-year-old wife’s fidelity, allegedly threw acid on her on Saturday morning.
The woman, an employee in a garment factory, has sustained 20 per cent burns on her face, head, chest, hands and back and has been admitted to a private hospital here. The Kengeri police have arrested her husband, Kumar, a painter by profession.
According to police, Gowramma, a resident of Muthurayanapura, and Kumar had parted ways four years ago because she was unable to bear his harassment. The incident was reported at Dubasipalya opposite R V College of Engineering on Saturday morning.
