BANGALORE: Hanumanthanagar police have arrested three persons, who were accused in various chain snatching cases. Jewels worth Rs 20,40,000 have been recovered from them.

A special team was formed under the guidance of DCP Sonia Narang for the operation. The accused have been identified as Ibrahim Pasha (24), Sayed Ismail (21) and Prajwal Pasha (23) all residents of Goripalya, who were targeting lone women in the mornings and evenings.

According to the police, the accused were using an autorickshaw and a Yamaha motorcycle, which were stolen for their illegal activities.

They were frequently changing the number plates of these vehicles to escape from the police. They used to steal valuables from women, who were walking alone at parks or drawing rangoli in front of their houses, the police added.

The accused were on the wanted list of different police stations across the city.

The police have seized their vehicles too.
