The international organic trade fair -- BioFach India -- came to a close on Saturday evening. More than 7,000 people visited the event in which a wide range of organic products were displayed.
A total of 163 exhibitors, including 16 international and eight states’ organisations, participated in the organic fair. Organised by the Department of Agriculture and the International Competence Centre for Organic Agriculture (ICCOA), the event was a platform to bring together the knowledge of the organic industry to the consumers.
Farmers from all the states and private exhibitors were awarded at the function. Amongst the organic products on display were chocolates, cosmetics, fabric, vegetables, cereals, pulses, spices, bakery products and organic tea and coffee.
