Revamp your old pumps

A pair of good leather pumps are a one time investment. But most of us get bored with our shoes and the shopaholic in us, forces us to buy every cute pair we see in the market. The good news is that you can transform your old pair into brand new pair you can show off at the next party.

Bows look great on shoes. Instead of the conventional way of placing the bow, you can experiment.

Things you need: Satin ribbon, you can choose any colour according to you shoe colour, needle and thread, glue, scissors, colourful buttons.

For the bow: If you have party shoes in mind, go for a sequined ribbon instead of a plain satin one. You can select the colour according to your shoe. You can go for the same colour ribbon or contrast. The thickness of the ribbon depends on the size of the bow you want on your shoe. We recommend a broad ribbon as big bows look nice.

Take the ribbon and fold it into half. Now stitch all sides of the folded ribbon. After you have stitched all sides you will get a rectangular box. Now careful pinch the folded ribbon from the middle to give it the bow shape. Stitch the bow from the middle. After the bow is ready, cut another piece of thin ribbon and wrap it around the crunched area. For the crunched area you can use a contrast or a sequined ribbon. You can also now stitch a button in the middle. After your bow is ready, take your shoes and clean them properly. With a pencil, mark the point where you would like to place your bow. We recommend the back of the shoe, right above the heal. Now put glue on the area you have marked and carefully place the bow. Let it dry for sometime. Your brand new shoes are ready.
