This will be a haven for cinema lovers

The 5th edition of BIFFES, the Bangalore International Film Festival will be held from December 20 to 27. The festival will be organised by the Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy for Government of Karnataka and will be supported by Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce. The fourth edition of the festival was a grand success with 175 films being screened, from more than 45 countries, and witnessed by more than 4000 delegates who enjoyed and appreciated the quality of cinema that were screened in nine  theatres. The fifth edition will have different sections including Cinema of the World, Asian Cinema, Chitrabharati (Indian Cinema), Kannada Cinema, Retrospectives, Country Focus, Special genre: Anti-War Films and Centenary Celebration of Indian cinema.The festival is also planning to have seminars, master classes for the students on different aspects of cinema, and a forum for studying the growth of Indian cinema to mark the celebration of its centenary year.
