A never ending tryst with music

It is that time of the year when Bangaloreans have this opportunity to wrap themselves in the blanket of blissful music as the East Parade Chorale gears up for their Christmas Carol Service on December 15.

Christmas is all about the divine love that unfolded in a lowly manger in the town of Bethlehem, and the choir is sharpening its voices to rock the city as their praises ascend to heaven in celebration of Christ’s birth.

At East Parade Church on MG Road, there isn’t a Christmas that goes without a Carol Service.

This year’s carol service titled For Unto Us will encompass several genres including traditional, contemporary, acapella, and classical.

The list contains three anthems from George Frederic Handel’s The Messiah which includes the theme song, For Unto Us a Child is Born.

The Junior Choir consisting of 40 cherubims will enthrall the congregation with a Malayalam song, Kurunnu Paithale and the ever popular classic, O Holy Night.
