A 19-year-old woman, who was recently married, committed suicide at her house in Mahalakshmi Layout police station limits on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Anitha, a resident of JC Nagar. She was married to one Hemanth five months ago.
According to the police, the incident came to light on Friday evening when one of her relatives came home and found her hanging body. It is said that Hemanth works abroad and she was living with her family due to illness. Police have found no suicide note and it is suspected that unable to bear her stomach ache she took this extreme step.
In another incident, a 22-year-old man committed suicide by hanging at his home in Nelagadharanahalli in Peenya police station limits on Friday night.
The deceased has been identified as Susheel Kumar, a native of Bihar.
According to the police, he hanged himself to the ceiling after locking himself in a room. When his family members went to call him for dinner they noticed his hanging body. Financial troubles may be the reason for him to take this step, the police said.
