A new-born baby girl that was hospitalised after being found abandoned in a land died at Vani Vilas hospital on Wednesday.
Police said that the baby was found abandoned in a land that belonged to one, Hanumanthappa, in Channanayakanahalli in Peenya on December 21. The land owner had informed the police about it and the police had admitted her to Vani Vilas hospital as there were some injuries on her head. Despite treatments, she succumbed on Wednesday morning.
Peenya police, who have registered a case, are investigating to trace the girl’s parents.
