Mayor D Venkatesh Murthy was upset on Saturday at the Council meeting as BBMP officials failed to furnish the details he had sought in the previous meeting.
Mayor said in every council meeting when they pass resolutions or seek reply from officials and give a months time, they do not oblige. They are not bothered to reply.
“Officials do not respect the council resolutions. Let them tell us not to take any resolutions or seek their reply, we will stop it,” said frustrated Mayor. DJ Halli Councilor Sampath Raj had asked questions related to his ward to the Mayor. Mayor in turn asked the concerned officials to reply within seven days, last month. “So far, officials have not replied,” he said.
Meanwhile Nandini Layout Councilor M Nagaraj demanded the Commissioner to suspend such “irresponsible” officials.
Answering to the queries, Commissioner Siddaiah assured to provide the required information in two days. “If we keep on suspending officials, I cannot handle BBMP alone,” he said.
