PSI slaps conductor, arrested

BANGALORE: Police Sub-Inspector of Sheshadripuram police station, Gurusiddanna Sanjeevamurthy, was arrested by the Vijayanagar police after he allegedly assaulted a woman conductor of a BMTC bus on Tuesday.

He was released on bail later. According to the police, the PSI, a resident of Govindarajanagar, was on the way to police station on his bike. Near Jaimini Rao Circle in Agrahara Dasarahalli, a BMTC bus plying between Govindarajanagar and Majestic stopped at a bus stop.

The PSI who was on the left side of the bus could not move, as passengers gathered near the footboard of the bus. The PSI allegedly hurled abuses Shailaja, who was near the footboard and allegedly slapped her.
