Celebrating the grandeur of epics in true style, the students of Kumararani Meena Muthiah Matriculation Higher Secondary School entertained the audience to the hilt at their 11th Annual Day held on Saturday, January 28. Drawing inspiration from the theme for the evening, “Glimpses of Indian Literature through Music and Dance”, they enacted scenes from the epic Silappatikaram, Tagore’s Chandalika, as well as Kalidasa’s Ritusamhara.

Further, the intricacies of Sufi literature and beliefs were also portrayed in a most colourful manner.

‘Kalaimamani’ Priyadarsini Govind presided over the event and distributed the prizes.  Following this, Honesty — a book penned by the school students, Poornimah and Mayuri — was released by the chief guest.
